It's open. It was a procession as usual during the day.
I am also worried but I will go to Twitter or shop I think that I'm writing if I look at Girolian's site Basics Jiro should be taking a break from year-end and New Year holidays
to line up!
I'm sorry I don't understand myself. In other Jiro, I feel that there are basically 30 minutes before closing.
I think you have to wait. Tell the takeout.
Came here on a Friday around lunch. Wait wasn't too bad, maybe 10 minutes. Traditional vending machine style ordering. Menu is pretty simple -- you basically only have a few choices based on how much noodles you want and whether you want the chunks of pork or not. Range is between 500 and 800 yen. FYI, there is no English, and I'm not sure anyone there was able to speak it, so be prepared to know a little Japanese (or come with a native). Anyway, the ramen was so-so. You get a ton of food, and the broth/meat is super rich, but the taste is one-note and pretty greasy. Noodles were good though, pretty thick and chewy (in a good way). Also, you have to eat pretty fast, because there are only like 8 seats in the whole place, and everyone standing in line is watching you like a hawk so they can take your seat. So definitely better to come as a quick, solo meal, not as a social experience. Ultimately I'm glad I tried it, but it's not my cup of tea so I probably won't go back.
Noodles are greatMeat texture inconsistantService is nonexistent - "concentrate on eating, there are people in line"
Miso ramen with a choice of noodle thickness and spice levels. Yum
Get a stomachache after finishing it ...
Super fatty ramen. It's bit weird why lots of people like it.
Cheap low-end soulless bowl of ramen. Famous for it's generous bowl size these guys deliver a good amount of chashu and vegtables in a super fatty tonkotsu soup. I'm not sure what these guys put in the soup but it feels pretty distasteful where the pork fat compensates for the lack of soul in this soup. Highly popular ramen spot that's almost always packed with a people lining outside, I think the cheap price and a bit of drunkness is what makes this place so popular...
The food tastes fantastic. It is pretty cheap ($7 for a huge bowl of ramen with extra pork). Appearance-wise it’s a little rough and ready, full of single men and with a huge queue outside. Nevertheless, it’s great food.
The ramen was very tasty here. We really liked the broth and the pork in the ramen was an excellent flavor and texture. The line was quite long when we arrived, but it moves fairly quickly and we thought was worth the wait.
Just a thick greasy salty ramen. Long line to get in. Not my kind of ramen!
This was recommended to me by my friend. It was a very Japanese experince and if you're western and wanting to try I'd suggest you do! Payment is simple using the machine, the top row is small, bottom row is large and the buttons to the left and right add or subtract meat. Easy. Then you hand the chit to the guy making the noodles and you get your noodles. There are no frills. The water was warm and the only choice is noodles. There is no toilet. I mean no frills. No napkins, disposable cutlery, messy, etc. However, this is a super tasty, pork experince with great noodles. Go for the experince, eat the food, have fun. I'd go again.
Bland and boring. And the staff look miserable. Stick to Ippudo or Ichiran. Or even Devil's Ramen
Restaurant was supposed to open at 6pm for dinner and there was a line forming before that.To my ultimate disgust, the store only opened their doors at 6.15pm, leaving their customers waiting in the cold for longer than necessary. I did not sense any form of remorse or customer service from the chef or staff working there. No apology for delay or "irrashaimase" was heard. The taste of food was mediocre. The price was average. There was nothing special about this restaurant that could compensate for their horrible service. The place can seat 10 person, all counter seats.
I don't know how they can survive from continuously eating this kind of ramen noodle. But if you eat it, say once for 2 months, it crazily delicious. Every time you should find customers line up. But don't give up, in average you can be served in about 20 minutes. It is cheap with big volume. If you are not familiar, don't try the biggest size, small or ordinary size should work better.
I don’t know why there’s a lot of foreigners complaining about the shop. I assume you don’t know what kind of ramen 二郎 is and the atmosphere it creates. The ramen is famous for its junkness, volume and some side orders you make right before you get ramen. (Garlic, fat, vege and original sauce). Moreover, you can’t complain about the quality of the services and the cleanliness of the restaurant because that’s how it is since the shop opened. They don’t need to fix those aspects, people never stops coming lol I’ve been to 富士丸 and ラーメン大 but this ramen here was beyond my expectations among 二郎系. I’m definitely coming back here for more!!
A must try ramen. Be careful for the volume XD
